Summer Recharge for Moms

In June, Tessa B. Williams, wife and mother of four shared her experiences on how to keep creative energy flowing in a way that strengthens the family in love and service. The saying ‘you can’t pour from an empty cup’ expresses the truth that we can’t give what we don’t have. She offered tips on how to grow in personal skills and hobbies in ways that the whole family benefits from them.

Our second speaker, Brooke G. stressed the importance of prayer and having a strong conviction of God’s love and ‘approval’ to stay patient, positive and loving in raising children.  She warned against measuring success as a mom, wife and/or homemaker by social media standards, and encouraged moms to discover how their particular individuality is a gift to the family.

Kelly Powers kicked off the third and final installment of the Summer Recharge for Moms with a dynamic, challenging, 15 minute taste of the Barre class. She began her talk with the importance of exercise for our familial relationships, it’s mental and physical benefits in the short and long term, and proceeded to provide an incredible exploration of the practical ways we can make it happen.
